Intention-to-Treat Analysis

ITT

Definición

A statistical analysis method in clinical trials that includes all randomized participants in their originally assigned groups, regardless of whether they completed the treatment or adhered to the protocol. ITT preserves the benefits of randomization and reflects real-world conditions.

Ejemplo

In an ITT analysis, a patient randomized to the drug group who stopped taking the medication due to side effects is still counted in the drug group's results.
