Cetirizine
Prescription商品名: Cetirizine Hydrochloride
概要
Cetirizine controls the symptoms of allergic disease: sneezing, runny nose, postnasal drip, and itching of the nose and eyes in perennial allergic rhinitis, along with the welts of chronic urticaria. A selective H1-receptor antagonist, or antihistamine, it blocks the H1 histamine receptor and so counters the effects of the histamine released during allergic reactions. The formulation recorded here is an oral solution, and its labeling covers use in young children whose rhinitis stems from allergens such as dust mites, animal dander, and molds. Its oral, once-daily dosing suits both seasonal and chronic allergy symptoms.
