Combination Drug

定義

A single pharmaceutical product containing two or more active ingredients, designed to improve efficacy, reduce side effects, or simplify dosing. Fixed-dose combinations are increasingly used to improve medication adherence in chronic diseases.

Lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide combines an ACE inhibitor with a diuretic in a single tablet for blood pressure control, reducing the pill burden from 2 to 1.
